Were You Really Listening The First Time???
I always considered myself an anarcho-demo-adaptionist. That in itself requires a lengthy explanation. The point is, I don't fit any traditional labels in the arena of politics, economics, ethics, or spirituality. I am a new breed, not looking for any disciples, not interested in any apostles. It's a personal belief system. Although I feel that my beliefs, when applied, would make a fully functioning society my personal beliefs stop me from infringing upon anyone else's right to set up their own government system, as long as that system doesn't infringe upon the rights of others.
However, as of late I have realized that I do, indeed, have foes. They are not in corpeal form. They are intangible forms, floating through the air. They are thoughts and belief systems which inhabit the human mind and are destructive to people and the surrounding environment. These ideas are most commonly found in the neo-conservative movement. My foe is totalitarianism or anything which infinges upon the rights of individuals who do not wish to be a part of that system.
I am not an enemy of any state. I am not an enemy of any nation. I believe that nations are archaic structures no longer necessary for personal development, but if people are willing to subscribe to the foundations of that structure then they are entitled to do so.
I do not consider myself a citizen of any state or nation. I mean this metaphorically. I can not say that I do not benefit from my rights of a citizen of the United States. All I can say is that my rights as a citizen are being stepped on, and the rights entitled to us by the constitution are the bare minimum of the rights which should be entitled to the population of the planet.
The current capitalist totalitarianism is not beneficial to the majority of people. That is a no brainer. Anyone who has seen the plight and suffering of the world should know that this structure is cruel and unbalanced. We are consoled by the party line: "This is the best things can be. Don't fix what ain't broken. There is no better system."
This is not true.
When this country was founded it was entirely different than it was ten years later. Every ten yeaars our country has changed. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. All systems decay. It is a matter of entropy. We have not reached the pinnacle of order, we have reached the pinnacle of chaos.
In 1776 it was decided by the United States that all men were entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Let's take a close look at this statement. It sounds good. It sounds really good. Wait a moment. Controversy arises. All men. Does this mean mankind? Or does this mean men, as in someone who possesses a tallywhacker, a schlong, a ding dong, a nut sac with a salome dangling in the middle, a penis, a woo woo, a dick, XY chromosomes, and a genital representation of manhood?
The definition of "men" in 1776 was all white, property owning men, above the age of 35. And everyone else? Fuck 'em.
We've come a long way, baby. But just when you think that you're reaching a point of total equality something comes along like...Reagan, Bush, Bush 2.0, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Ashcroft, and Jeb Bush. HE STOLE AN ELECTION PEOPLE!!! Does that mean nothing? If you're willing to look closely, he stole two. And not in that "stole the publics eyes," no I mean ripped the beating heart out of the chest of democracy "stole".
Then he ignored crucial information that terrorists, led by bin Laden would attack the World Trade Center, that terrorists may utilize airplanes as weapons, that THERE WAS A HIGH PROBABILITY OF A TERRORIST ATTACK ON 9/11. "But, hey," the American populace says. "In the great scheme of things, who gives a fuck?"
His cabinet pushed unconstitutional legislation using scare tactics. A frightened legislature signed the Patriot Act as if it could guard them against the evils of a terrorist attack. Instead, something else occured. A coup de tat of our system. A hijacking of massive proportions. THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT WAS STOLEN.
Our political system has worked since 1776 in a "Cold Civil War" sort of fashion. Although there are many ideologies at war, the decisions have been democratically handled. Well, not always.
This is all a rough sketch. Get ready for the book. These are just a few of the things that I will talk about. There's so much more. Oh, so much more.
God, I can't take anymore.
But, there is more.
DAVID G.
