MIC: The Military Industrial Complex (2006) Pt. 1

War is violent passion unleashed. The act of performing violence against another person has a deep psychological impact on the individual. It is my personal belief (which happpens to be reinforced by empirical data) that patriarchal organizations are detrimental towards mutual respect between genders.

To get to the point: MUTUAL RESPECT MEANS STOP COMMITTING SEXUAL ASSAULT!!!

Or more specifically: STOP SEXUAL ASSAULT.

Reports of sexual assault increased 40% since last year in the military. The Pentagon claims that part of the reason is a new program which asks victims to come forward.

Personally speaking:

I am opposed to war.
I am opposed to an offensive military.
I am opposed to the immensity of military spending.

However, if the military is going to continue to exist in its present form, I have a few suggestions.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but the military is supposed to teach discipline. How about discipline towards members of the opposite sex or members of the same sex that you are physically attracted to. Contrary to popular belief, pinching someone's ass is not military lingo for "good morning."
