When Wal-Mart Owns Your Soul...

When Wal-Mart owns your soul...
...don't worry, they own everything else.

Political Comments:

Wal-Mart, while sitting on its high horse of morality, is one of the most lethal companies to small communities, independent businesses, and ethics.

It won't shock anyone when I say the words: sweatshop and crippling blow to the American businessperson. What several people don't know is that Wal-Mart is also responsible for increased crime and poverty rates.

After all, we've become accustomed to sweat shops. We've gotten used to giant corporations squashing our local businesses. But there is something darker lurking beneath the visage of the smiling Wal-Mart face, which the following links will show...but first...

Personal Comments:

First, video killed the radio star. Then, the internet killed the video star. Progress is not necessarily a bad thing, but when a corporation kills workers rights and uses the foundations of this nation's principles for toilet paper, people should be outraged. But heck, we're a mellow herd.

A friend of mine said that she couldn't trust a store "that sold everything." The concept scared her. I thought it was an interesting reaction in our world of mega-stores.
